Today I sneaky-paid for someone's kid's lunch order today at school. Wasn't much ($2.10) the point was to (hopefully) give the lady a good feeling about others and herself - that she's worth good deeds - if maybe briefly.
I also bought stuff for Red Nose Day
Only very little things, but I felt a sense of wellbeing and peace. Imagine what it could be like for everyone to do something bigger..
Yesterday I gave a few dollars to a stranger who wasnt 'poor' but felt he needed help
. A small gesture but sometimes "from little things, big things grow."
Tell me something you will do tomorrow to help someone.
I think I have a hard time being able to tell when I'm helping someone, because it is mostly a second nature, so I like to record these things..
I don't pretend to know what I'm doing here, but I know what I want to happen. You, out there, go help someone who needs it. I have been on the receiving end of help that I needed and I've always thought that there was someone else who needed it more than me. But don't let that discourage you from helping only a few - if someone needs a hand to stand and YOU know you can do something - do it. We cannot sit slackjawed staring at a world-wide television set, indifferent to those suffering around us like so many bad news stories. Let today be a good day to live.
